✨ The 13 Magical Wishes of Yule ✨

instructions

A Simple Guide to the Ritual

🌑 What You’ll Need:

  • 13 small slips of paper

  • A jar, bowl, or box to hold your folded wishes

  • A candle or safe way to burn paper

  • Wish-crafting Guided Reflection (optional but useful!)

🕯 Step-by-Step Ritual Instructions

1. Prepare Your Wishes
Sometime before the night of Dec 20, write 13 wishes for the year ahead, one per slip of paper.
Make them specific and true to what your spirit is really asking for.

2. Fold + Store
Fold or crumple each wish so you can’t see the writing.
Place them in a jar, bowl, or box. This becomes your sacred vessel of possibility.

3. Begin the Ritual: Dec 20 (Mother’s Night)
Burn your first wish without reading it. This signals the start of your 12-night journey.
Offer it to spirit, the Earth, the ancestors—whatever you’re in relationship with.

4. Continue Nightly: Dec 21 – Dec 31
Each night, burn one wish. Don’t read them. Let the act of release be enough.
If you miss a night, just burn two the next day.

5. Final Wish: Jan 1
Open and read your 13th wish. This is the one you don’t burn.
This is your responsibility to tend in the year ahead.

Optional: Join us in our final ceremony to create a sigil or altar to hold this intention as your north star for 2026.
